Willow Sketchie Challenge - 29th September

Hi All,

It's Thursday again, and do you know what that means, another Willow Sketchie Challenge, yeah!!!!!!!!

Firstly I have to say a huge congratulations to Janice, your card was wonderful,  As were they all, I'm not going to say it again about you all being winners in my eyes for just entering, oh damn, I said it!!!!!  I'm sorry that I didn't comment on any of your cards, my Mum was rushed into Hospital on Thursday.  So everything has taken a back seat at the moment.  I do hope you accept my apologies.

Right time to get on with this challenge, our lovely host is Kelly, we had to use the new CD Walter and Winnie Does Christmas/ which is available to pre-order from Willow Designs.  Kelly designed this sketch, but she put a twist on it saying that we had to do an Easel or a Tent card.  Cor!!! blimey I had to get my thinking cap on.

Before we get to my card, take a look at this weeks prize, it's fantastic.

Well it's on with my card (it's not a brilliant photo, sorry!!!)

The Image that I chose to do was Walter and Your Favorite Present, again I chose the Pre-coloured version, but again I finshed it off with Pro-markers.  I also glittered (can't get enough!!!).  I added a Pointsettia in the corner, I think this went well with the card. The Sentiment was of off the CD, I think it looks lovely.

Here you can see the Glitter, lovely!!!  I also attached a bow and piece of ribbon.

Now remember

  1. We do not discriminate anyone for using their Crafty Stash, but if you have any Willow Designs we would love to see them.
  2. You can rotate or flip the Sketch, re-size the elements as long as the original Sketch Layout can be recognised.
  3. The Challenge runs from Thursday at 09:00am (UK Time) until 20:00pm (UK Time) on the following Wednesday.
  4. You can enter up to 3 times per Sketch / Layout.
  5. You can also combine our Challenge with a maximum of 10 others.
  6. The Winner will Randomly be drawn on Wednesday (after 20:00pm)

Well I better go!!!

Fab 'n' Funky - Challenge #92

Hi Everyone,

Wow!!!  You did it again, so many brilliant entries, you make it hard to pick the three favourite entries, gosh I don't know how they do it.  Well congratulations to the 3, but you are all winners!!!

And so on with the next challenge, this challenge was a Recipe, the Recipe was as follows:
  • 1 Ribbon
  • 2 Patterned Papers
  • 3 Buttons, Brads or Gems
Well our Sponsor this week is Di's Digi Downloads, this is the most fantasic store.  Everything is downloadable, I could spend all day just looking around (not sure Mr Bank Manager would want me to).

Di's Digi Downloads

And so on with my card:

The Image I used was one from Di's Digi Downloads, it is coloured in in Pro-markers, and finished off with a tiny bit of Glitter!!!  The Design Papers I used, I was only allowed to use two, how difficult was choosing the two.  I decided upon my two, I think they came as a free sample within a book, but sorry don't know for sure.  I then had to pick three things, like buttons, brads or gems, I picked three gems, but it seemed to develop more and I tried to keep it down.

Here is a close up of my three choice.

Now it's your turn to create a card / project.

But the main thing is to have fun!!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - #119 or #120

Hi Everyone,

This morning, I've been up dale and down!!!  That's if we have any dales where I'm from, doubt it!!!  No I've been to the Doctor's and then to the job centre, and then a quick walk round the market then home, that was my morning, was your's the same???

When I got in I went onto the tintinet and so I picked to do Sweet Sketch Wednesday and when I went onto their blog, they've got another great competion running, so go over and try and win one.

Anyway onto my card:

The Image is one of those Sugar Nellie stamps that is totally lovely.  She is coloured in using Pro-markers and just a little Glitter Pen.  The Design Papers are a combination of Papermania - Temptations and My Mind's Eye - Bohemia.  I then added a Ribbon through the centre which came from Create and Craft.  The Gems came from Kanban.

I then added some flowers, which seemed to go.  I decided to leave out doing a Sentiment and so you can send it for any reason.

I would like to put this one into the Challenge Sweet Sketch Wednesday - 119 or 120 (confusing cause on your diagram / sketch it says 120 and then in the writing it says 119).

If you would like a go at Winning a Miche Bag then go and visit and play along too!!!

Bye

Willow Sketchie Challenge - 15th September

Hi Everyone,

Well it's Thursday, two things it's nearly the weekend and more importantly, it's time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge  and the worst thing is it's my turn to host, talk about nerve wracking!!!  Firstly we must congratulate the Winner of last weeks Challenge, Teegs so congratulations to her your entry was lovely.  As all your entries were, and you are all winners in my eyes, but there has to be one.  So here goes (no turning back now!!), and have you seen the prize, a prize like we're giving makes me want to enter, I know not now.  Oh well.

Well as I mentioned before it's my turn to host the event, so I came up with the Sketch below, the drawing isn't that good, but hey I'm still learning, and it's my first ever time hosting an event.  And the Design Team as well as working with my Sketch had to work with All I Want for Christmas is...... from Willow Designs

And so on with my card:

The Image I used was All I Want for Christmas is....... from Willow Designs, you get both a pre-coloured together with a line drawing.  I chose the pre-coloured version.  At this point, I decided to do something which I hadn't seen done, a Shaker Card.  So inside the shaker element I used some Flower Soft and also some Glitter!!!  The Design Papers I can't remember where they came from.  I added some Gems just to the top of the Design.

I added a Ribbon and a Charm, which I think looks really good.

Remember you don't have to use Willow Designs but we would love to see them.  You have until 20:00pm next Wednesday 21st September to get your entry in.  You need to post it on the Willow Sketchie Challenge.

Well it's over to you.

P.S Have you seen the prize for next week, wow!!!!  Makes me wish I was you.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 119

Hi All,

I should of posted this earlier but I had to go to hospital, so I made it and left it on the side.  I had to go to hospital to look at the splint for my arm, I am now a proud owner of a new splint a lot smaller than the old one, so I'm happier.  This card is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday, so here we go.

So the card is:

The Image I used for this card challenge was a Hamilton Hamster, my Mum brought me the CD-ROM a couple of weeks ago and I thought it would do for this challenge.  She got it from B-C-E and I'm waiting for the next one.  I've gone round the Santa's suit with Flower Soft and I've Glittered a few of the Parcels.  The Design Papers came from a box which is so old, so who knows??!!  I finished the card off with Black Pearls from Kanban.

I added a Ribbon just to finish it off.

I would like to enter this into Sweet Sketch Wednesday 119

Well I'm off.

And here it is.

The Image is a Sugar Nellie Cherry Pip and Friends, I thought it would go really well. it was coloured in in Pro-markers and finished off with a Glittery Pen.  The Design Papers I used are from Little Bratz range.  I then used the flowers and cut the two leaves out of a Woodware punch.  I used another Martha Stewart punch to punch the boarder.

Then I placed a Sentiment Stamp which came from Hunkydory.

Sketch n Stash - Challenge 70 - Free Choice

Hi All,

My gosh, isn't it windy outside?  I went down the Parade this morning, and my gosh really surprised I didn't get blown over, I had to stop a couple of times in order to regain my balance.  Wow!!

Well I'm back in the warm comfort of my home (actually's my Mum's home) now and lets get on with today's challenge and boy did Sketch n Stash make it fun.  We had to pick which sketch we would like to have a go at, and so I picked their number 16.

/

Well onto my card.

For the Image on this card I chose a Pink Gem Designs one, a Goodnight Mrs Hoot one.  It is coloured in in Pro-markers, and highlighted in Glitter.  The Design Papers I am afraid I can't remember where they came from.  I added a piece of Ribbon.  My Stash item has to be my Sentiment, they were brought years ago, so I thought I would use them.

Then I added the Flowers, how lovely if I do say so.

I would like to put this forward for Sketch 'n' Stash - Challenge 70 - Free Choice

Well I'm off, hope the weather gets better.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Challenge #72 Donna's Sketch

Hi Everyone,

It's Sunday morning (well the afternoon now, but only 19 minutes in), there's a F1 race on in a minute, fashion on the other side.  I don't know what to watch, oh!!

Well on with the card, I chose to do Sunday Sketch & Stamp.  So I guess lets get on with it!!!

Here's my card:

For the Image I chose to do a Housemouse, ah so sweet.  I coloured in with Pro-markers and finished it off with a little bit of Glitter!!  The Design Papers were from Anita's Classic Christmas Blue Papers, they are flat papers and so I got them to be dotty, by placing them in a folder and running it through the Big Shot.  I added a Sentiment and also a Ribbon which were both from my Stash.

I also put some Card Candy from Craftwork Cards on to the finished card, lovely I think!!

I would like to put this forward for Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Challenge #72 Donna's Sketch

Well off I go to get hold of the remote control and flick!!!
