Willow Sketchie Challenge - 30th June

Hi All,

Wow, I've had another day of making cards. And I chose to do the Willow Sketchie Challenge, they always run such good sketchie challenges, and at the moment they are having a Design Team Call so why not visit their site and see what happens.

Well onto my card.


I chose to do a Tilda image for this card, coloured red, as they had a few recipe conditions that applied, they wanted to see the colour red somewhere on your card, and also a bit of glitter. The image was coloured in using Pro-markers. I'd have to say that I did all the card in different colours of red, the Design Papers were My Minds Eye Bohemia, these papers are lovely. Once having all my card placed out, I thought that it was missing something. I came up with that it was missing a piece of ribbon, I then layered a piece of lace onto it. I added a silk flower to the final design.




Just to say that glitter is all over the design (and me if were talking about it!!!). I went round the Pink Gem Sentiment in glitter and the images bows had glitter on them.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch 108

Hi All,

I've been away from my craft room (my Mum's actually!!) for days this week, I have been working away on my Mum's bedroom, well I've been helping as much as I can, a woman with one arm!!! But I've had a break from the bedroom today, but it doesn't mean I haven't done any exercise, I've been down the shops and done the fortnightly shop.

And onto my card.



For this card I thought I would use Totally Gorjuss image, just had to pick one!! Coloured in using my Pro-markers. With the image I decided to go round it with a length of beads, it was pretty tough, to secure it I used a flower to start and finish the silver beads. The Design Paper that I decided to use My Minds Eye Bohemia and I picked colours which went together. I used a piece of ribbon from my stash, the sentiment came from Kanban.


I had a number of challenges to try and secure the beads, so I added a flower.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Number 61 Maggie's Sketch

Hi Everyone,

Wow, they actually got the weather forcast right, wasn't today hot, I stayed inside and got on with my card instead, it was too hot to be outside.

This is the card I made.


Being as it was so hot I thought I would do the image of Tilda with her hula hoop. I finished her off with glitter. The Design Papers were from Easter Themes, I know using Easter Themes, but they were there, and they have to be used. I used a Pink Gem design for the Sentiment. The butterfly I used I can't remember where it came from, but I thought it went with the card well.



I attached a flower to finsh with, sorry but again I can't remember where it came from.

Sketch Saturday - Week 161 25 June

Hi All,

This was the second card I made, I chose to make it a Welcome to your New Home, I don't know anybody who is moving, but you never know!!!



I chose to use image (I am so sorry I've completly forgotten who it is), the Design Papers are from Kanban and so is the Sentiment Greeting. I was looking for something to go in the corner and I found some sticky flowers in Mum's craft room. So I used them.

The charm I thought would totally fit in and I found a nice place to put it.

A Gem of a Challenge - Challenge 24

Hi Everyone,

I've had the most wonderful day card making, its been utter bliss. Well this is the card, I followed the diagram as instructed, the only part the diagram thats not the same is where I put the sentiment. I hope its ok, I didn't have room where it was meant to go.


I chose to do the Pink Gem image which was Get Well Milly, which I glittered to add a bit of dimension, the Design Papers are from Kanban, they are so nice to use. The sentiment is also from Kanban. I decided to add a bit of lace, which is multicoloured (sorry Mum your knickers have lost their lace!!!), I threaded a piece of ribbon though it.


I added some flowers at the end.

I am going to put this in the following challenge: A Gem of a Challenge - Challenge 24

Willow Sketchie Challenge - 23 June

Hi All,

Finally got in from such a busy day, I was at the hospital for classes to help with the Stroke I had last year. And my Mum was at a different hospital, for the news on her Cancer that she has. Her cancer was not in remission but its well on the way to being, she has to go back in 3 months to have it checked. Whereas my class, its a long, long road.

Well onto my card, I thought that I would try Willow Sketchie Challenge.




I chose to do a Housemouse image, I do think these are sweet. It is coloured in using Pro-markers. I took the colour for the card from the yellow of the cake wrapper. I chose to use my bits and bobs from my stash box to complete the task. The sentiment is from Kanban.



The topping I decided to glitter it as it makes it look a lot more appetising, and fun to eat!!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 107

Hi All,

It was one of those days today bright sunshine followed by the most terrential downpour, I mean I was at the doctor's, where my blood was being tested for medication. I went into the doctor's and there was sunshine, and I came out and it was pouring down, and I have to say lets just wear summer clothes!!!!!

Well onto my card, I found the challenge on Sweet Sketch Wednesday they do very interesting sketches. Well onto my card............

For this card I chose todo a Beccy Image she does the most amazing sketches, and there for free. I coloured it in using Polychromo Pencils blended with Sansador. I finished the image with glitter on the cake. The DP came from Papermania the Heather Collection, I used the Polka Dots and also the Candy Stripe. The Sentiment comes from Kanban.

I then added some flowers, not sure about them? The picture isn't that good, so apologies for that.

Incy Wincy Designs - Challenge 99

Hi All,

Well this is my third and last card I made.


For the image I chose to use this one, and its one that I really like. There is so much detail in it, it is coloured in using Pro-markers and several parts of it are high lighted using gold coloured pen. The DP come out of my stash. The sentiment is from Kanban. I added pearls and these were from my stash.

I then added some flowers.

Hi All,
Only me again, told you it was card making day!!!

Here's my card:


I'd thought I'd use a Housemouse Stamp, they are so cute. Coloured with Pro-markers and a sprinkling of glitter (more on myself!!!). The DP are from my stash. The sentiment is from Kanban. The ribbon also is from my stash.

Peartree Designs - Challenge 54 - Sketch

Hi All,

I decided today was going to be a card making day, well it was going to be while my Mum was at the hospital. She was going for a CT scan, after having cancer, I just hope there was nothing o the scan that we need to worry about.

Well onto my card.


I chose to use a sweet little mouse for my image. My DP came out of my scraps box, which is why I can't remember there names, I guess I was trying to use all of my scraps up out of my scraps box, could find a elephant in there!! I did use a MS Punch, the sentiment was from Kanban, the ribbon was also from my scraps box.


I added some jewels, just to finish it off.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Challenge 60

Hi All,

Today was a day when card making took a priority, well that was the dream. But I managed to get one done.

And so onto my card.


I chose to do a fairy image, which I glittered (and me!!!), to give it extra zing. I used scraps of paper, sorry I didn't make a note of them. The sentiment is from Kanban. The pearls and flowers I got from my stash.

To finish the whole card off, I tied a bow myself (which is an achievement in its self), which I am very pleased with.

Sketch Saturday - Challenge 160

Hi All,

I've been really busy today, lots of things to do, things without an outcome. The only thing which seemed to have a outcome was my card I made, really nice card. I was impressed, as I managed to sell 4 of my cards, my Mum's friend came to the house today and looked at my cards and boy she wanted 4 of them, wow!

Lets get onto my card.


For this card the image used a Sarah Kay image that I am really impressed with. The Design Papers are from my set of do-crafts they are in the colour Sunshine, they are Candy Stripe, Mini Polka, Gingham and Floral. I finshed off my card with two swirls. The ribbon and pearls are from my ever increasing stash.


I finished off with a fantastic stamp from Kanban, how fantastic!! The flowers are from my Stash.

Willow Sketchie Challenge - 16th June

Hi All,

Didn't think I was going to make a post on here this evening, it's been a very busy day. I had to go for a medical today, which was really fun. The medical was to do with the DWP, basically it's to do with the Stroke I had on 2nd November 2010, I mean if I could use my arm I would, I don't have to be told to use it!!!

Well anyway onto the card which I did to answer the Willow Sketchie Challenge.



For this card I chose to do use a Hanglar Stanglar image, and I think this one is so cute. The design papers are from the Patch Work Pals, this is totally lovely. The plain pink design papers came from my stash. The gems also are from my stash.

The flowers came from my stash, but I think go with the card beautifully.

I am really pleased with this card, I would like to enter it into Willow Sketchie Challenge - 16th June.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Week 106

Hi All of You,

Didn't think I was going to make it today, after I had to go to our local shops with Mum (she is getting out now). It was the fortnightly shop today and the first time with Mum (not again!!!!). Only joking it is lovely seeing her out. Anyway this is my card I did for Sweet Sketch Wednesday


The image I chose to do was from Hangler Stangler, I was so impressed with the image. The design paper I chose to use were again from the magazines that teach you about card making (have to say my Mum is pleased that someone is using them). The sentiment is from Kanban and I think it goes with the card. The ribbon is from my stash as are the brads.

The flowers are from my stash, which I think sets of the card.

The Sweet Shop Challenge - SSS112

Hi Everyone,

I didn't think I would do a challenge today, but after looking around on the internet I found one which I'd never done before, it's called The Sweet Shop Challenge. So here's my card:



The image is from Penny Black, I matted and layered the orange card which everything was onto. The DP were freebies which came from Card Making books, I decided to thread through some red ribbon, through the lace which I was going to use. The sentiment is from Kanban which I matted and layered onto orange card.

Finally I attached the flowers onto the card, and I used a leaf punch.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch 59

Hi All,

I have to apologise about my photo's the weather here is horrible, dark and rainy, yuk!!!

Well here is my card.


Firstly I purchased the image from Kenny K sometime ago and I fancied a bit of a change, it is coloured in using polychromos, blended with sansador. I finshed it off with a little bit glitter. The DP were from the books which are explaining how to make different cards and things. The sentiment is from Kanban. I then finished off with adding flowers.

You can see that I have done a chocolate box bow as I wanted it to be a bit different.

Sketch Saturday - Week 159

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I didn't put anything on here yesterday, I was just so tired after walking to the Doctors and then doing a bit of shopping, and again walking home. Well just to say I'm back and raring to go.

Well here's my Card for Sketch Saturday.

The image came from Pink Gem Designs and she is called Kaya in Boots, it is coloured in using Pro-markers, and finished off with glitter (I'm sure that I'm addicted to using and wearing it!!), the Design Papers came from all the books we have lying around about card making, to name but one Making Cards. The flowers came from lace edging, I just cut the purple flowers off.

The other flowers came from my stash, with the leaves being punched.

Willow Sketchie Challenge - 9th June

Hi Everyone,

Its been a busy old day for me, the morning was fine but in the afternoon I get picked up and go to the hospital. I go there to get some help with understanding about what the stroke has affected. I realise that I'm not as bad as everyone else, even though I can't use my right arm, you just learn to do everything with your left arm. Not sure if its my outlook on life!!

Well onto my card, and here it is.

The image is from Pink Gem Designs, I've always said that I like owls and this one just confirms it. I have coloured it in using Pro-markers, and glittered her bow, butterflies and flowers. The DP's come from Papermania, called Easter Themes - Colossal Paper Pack and it has been layered blue paper that was already in my craft box. I also took time to put a border of purple flowers on the top and bottom edges, but should have thought as you can't see them. The sentiment comes from Kanban.

I then chose to put flowers on it, sorry but I can't remember where they came from.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - A Sweet Sketch

Hi All,

Well today I've been working on a male card, as I realised that I do not have very many, if you count the one I did last week then it is one. So this needed to change

For the card I used Patchwork Pals by Kanban, which are brilliant. They are very very cute.

For the image I used the Billy Sports, I printed lots out and then layered his clothes on him, I then put him om a wall. The wall actually came from Bradley Sports. I then coloured him in using Pro-markers, the colours used are Warm Grey 1, Grass, Sandstone, Powder Blue, Poppy, Cocoa and Blush. The blue card is from my stash, but all the other papers are from Patchwork Pals. The little bits of embellisments are from d0crafts - papermania Adhesive Stones, Monochrome.

I finished off with tying a ribbon, I was pretty satisfied.

Tuesday Morning Sketches - Challenge 97

Hi Everyone,

I bet you thought I wasn't doing a challenge today, but hey I've had a really horrible day. I went to the dentist today and he told me that one of my fillings is falling out, he did comment that it was not so bad as I'm cleaning my teeth with my left arm, as my right one doesn't seem to work after the stroke.

I would like to enter this in to Tuesday Morning Sketches, Well lets get onto my card.


The image came from Pink Gem, I have to admit that her stamps are the best to use, coloured in using Pro-markers. It was then glittered (I use too much, because I'm covered!!!). The design papers came from Kanban, and so is the sentiment. I found a little piece of lace which I think goes lovely.

I didn't have quite enough to tie a bow, so I took apart the lace and just got the roses off, which I folded and then glued into place.

Sketch n Stash - Challenge 63

Hi All,

Today I was looking through all the challenges, to find one which would suit me. Eventually I found one Sketch n Stash, I have to tell them what I used out of my craft box. Well I used the design papers from my box, they were from books about card making. And what I used which was new, well I used the flowers I have used these flowers before but not the white ones which I bought recently.

Well I glittered where the water can was on the floor, then I just kept going with it, whoops.

I would like to put this to the following challenge Sketch n Stash - Challenge 63

I'll be back tomorrow, after a trip to the dentist.

The Crafty Pad - Challenge 124 - Stripes

Hi All,

I hope your all well, a bit of a relaxing day today, but I did manage to do a card. I followed The Crafty Pad - challenge 124 - Stripes. I have to admit it was tough.

And so onto my card.


The papers have come from a mixture of magazines, Card Making etc. Fantastic, and I have to admit that my Mum has that many books!!!! The image is from Pink Gem and called Little Gem's Birthday. The sentiment is from Kanban.

I used some really pretty flowers that I had in my craft box, my gems also came from my box.

Sketch Saturday - Sketch 158

Hi All,

Hope you are all well, I've been really busy today, clearing out my Mum's bedroom ready for a total re-vamp (I must say its a bit of a challenge for someone with only 1 arm that works!) and having my hair cut and coloured (have to cover the grey!!). I also found time to complete a card challenge for Sketch Saturday.

And so here's my card.



I have to say that I cannot remember was design papers were called, so I am really sorry about that, all you can say that it is a range of pinks!! I used a image from a very talented artist who does brilliant work, Sliekje Digi Stamps. I am giving this card to my neice, but you just don't know.

I chose to glitter the bike, so it gives you a focus. The flowers I also went into my craft bag to find, and I punched out the leaves.

Well today I would like to enter into the Sketch Saturday - Sketch 158

Crafts 4 Eternity - Challenge 22 - A Recipe and also Fussy and Fancy Challenge - A Card for a Man or a Boy

Hi All,

Today I have tried to load things up to the computer, but things weren't happening. I'm not sure what I was doing. Today I found 2 card challenges I could enter, firstly I am entering Craft 4 Eternity, where we were asked to follow a Recipe. The second card challenge which I would like to enter is Fussy and Fancy Friday.

And so onto my card.


For this card I used the following: The image is from a set from Kanban, I coloured in using polychromo pencils and blended using sanasdor. The design papers were from do-crafts, they were gingham, mini polka and candy stripe all in monochrome, the black card came from my stash. I used a MS Punch to do both the corners and the strip. Both the card candy and ribbon came from my stash.

The sentiment came from a set from Kanban.

I really hope you like it, for this I would like to enter it into both the following challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge - Challenge 41 Anything Goes

Hi All,

Another challenge today, although I did have to look for it. Well today's card challenge is from 2 Sister Challenge its a challenge that I'll be entering again.

Here's my card.

The image is one that came on a sheet but had no name, really sorry. Its coloured using Pro-markers and also it is glittered. Some of the design papers are from a book which gave you papers, they were called Florals and Dots, I also used a paper from Sugar Rush called Bottle Caps. The green paper I ran through the Big Shot. The ribbon, gems and flowers are from my stash. As is the butterfly.

A really bright and cheerey card.
