Crafts 4 Eternity - Recipe 31 - A Sketch

Hi All,

Cor what a morning, I've been on the phone for over an hour, ringing number after number. I've been trying to sort out things that are getting sent through the bank, I mean don't they realise when someone has died you don't want post, especially Cheques being sent. My Dad died 17 months ago and I am still sorting it out.

While I was on the phone, I did manage to get a card done (shows how long I was on it!!) for Crafts 4 Eternity. Well here it is.



The Image I chose to do was Edwin from Magnolia, and a background from Magnolia, I love these. It was cut out because I thought it looked better. Its coloured in in Pro-markers and finished off with Glitter. The Design Papers were from in my Stash, so sorry. The Sentiment was a free one off the front of a Magazine.

Willow Sketchie Challenge - 4th August

Hi All,

It's Thursday again, that means only one thing, time for a new Willow Sketchie Challenge. Well today's Challenge is set by the lovely Sharon, and she came up with the following Sketch.

Ah, but Sharon being Sharon, it came with a little twist. She wanted to see the following
1. Something Blue
2. Something Dimensional
3. Something Patterned

Well I had to put my thinking cap on and came up with this.

The Image that we were told to use was Taking a Snooze, available to buy on Willow Design Page, this time it doesn't come coloured, so I was setting down to colour it in. I chose to use Pro-markers. I chose to print the Image out three times so I could layer it (my dimensional). The Design Papers, were from my Stash, but they are all patterned and blue.

Here you can see that I did exactly what I said I was, the dimensional. I then added a Sentiment and also a Ribbon from my Stash.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sweet Sketch 113

Hi All,

Well today has been a little bit of touch and go, I had to go to the Doctor's this morning to have a blood test, although the gentleman is very good it always leaves a bruise. Well something to look forward to I haven't got to go back until the 31st August. The internet has been hit and miss all day so at the moment, I'm on at the moment so thats benefical. Well today I think I am going to enter the Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

So here's my card.



For the Image I chose to this Sassy Anya, I think that this is brilliant, some attitude!! I finished off the Image using Pro-markers and of course my favourite Glitter!! The Design Papers came from QVC, sorry no name. The Ribbon also came from my Stash as did the Sentiment.


I added some flowers, I think these went really well.

Tuesday Morning Sketches - Challenge 105

Hi All,

Its been a bit of a morning, firstly the internet went down then my Mum doesn't feel very well. She's off down the Doctors this afternoon, somebody is giving her a lift. Well the internet came back so alls good now.

I managed to make a card this morning for Tuesday Morning Sketches. So here's my card.



The Image I chose to do was a Sugar Nellie, gosh, she is so sweet. She was coloured in using Pro-markers, lovely. The Design Papers came from QVC and they arrived this morning, and so got them out of their box straight into mine. The lace came from my Mum's Stash (not from her knickers, although it is knicker elastic!!!). The Ribbon came from my Stash, and the Gem came from a local shop. The Sentiment came from Kanban.

The Roses came from QVC Clearance, had to get them.

Sketch 'n' Stash - Challenge 67

Hi All,

Well I'm here again, would I be anywhere else!! I've been locked in my craftroom/study, all morning, making a card for Sketch 'n' Stash.

So here's my card.


Sorry but I can't remember who the Image is by, can you guys help me? Anyway its coloured in using Pro-markers and finished off wth a little bit of Glitter. The Design Papers are from my stash. The Sentiment is computer generated. I used a MS punch, and you had a piece of Ribbon across the centre.


The flowers are a good green so I thought they would go.

Well this is my Card which I made.

The Image I chose for this card was a stunning Lili of the Valley one, this teddy is so sweet. I coloured him/her in using Polychromos and then blended with Sansodor. The Design Papers come from my stash. The Ribbon also comes from my Stash, I thought they set it off extremely well. The Gems I got from a local store. The Sentiment is from Kanban and is called Wooly Bears.

Finally, the buutons are about 40 years old (their not mine, I'm not old enough!!), and came off something. I asked my Mum for some and these are the ones she gave me, I think there fantastic and look the part really well.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Challenge 66 - Sam's Sketch

Hi All,

I've been a buy girl today, I started off by doinga DT card for Willow Sketchie (so you'll have to wait to see that!!!). Then my Mum's friend came and she drove (I miss driving, hopefully not too long now!) me to my house. Then I had time to make a card for Sunday Sketch & Stamp.

Here is the card.



The Image I chose to use was a Fizzy Moon image, so sweet. He/She is coloured in using Pro-markers (sorry no glitter this time!!). The card came from my own stash and the Design Papers came from a magazine and were free. There are Gems which happen to be my favourite on the top and came from my stash. I also added a touch of Grosgrain Ribbon.

This shot looks at how cute the bear is, so sweet.

Sketch Saturday - Week 166 - 30th July

Hi All,

I've had a busy day today making DT cards, but you'll have to wait to see them!!! But I have managed to do a card for a Challenge, it's Sketch Saturday. So here goes.

This is my card.



The Image I chose to do for this one is a Housemouse one, I really love these they are so nice, it is coloured in using Pro-markers. The Design Paper is from Anita's Classic Christmas Blue Papers, the Silver Card is from my Stash. The Ribbon is from my Stash also.

The Sentiment was a free one, I think with Housemouse Images you need some kind of fun, and I think this one does exactly that. The Snowflakes are punched out from my Stash, and again a small Gem was fixed in the centre of each one.

Some More Exciting News!!!

Hi All,

Sorry no card, but I do have some exciting news to share with you. I've been picked to be a Design Team Member for a new and exciting Challenge, called Ready-Teddy-Go.

Ready-Teddy-Go is a monthly Challenge, and its open to everyone, as long as you use a Teddy Bear or Bear of some sorts.

The Challenge starts on the 1st August, so all I can say is visit Ready-Teddy-Go Challenge.

Willow Sketchie Challenge - 28th July

Hi All,

I love Thursday's, it's nearly the weekend but more importantly, it's time for a new Willow Sketchie Challenge. Congratulations to the winner of last weeks Challenge, the card was lovely.

On with the Challenge, we are happy to have Shell with us (another newbie like me!) and she has done the most delightful sketch for us to follow and develop are cards on.


From Shell's design here is my card.

It's fantastic from her design I crafted my own take on it. The Image I used was Precious from the Willow Designs, more importantly I didn't have to colour it in. If you purchase it from the website you get a black and white version together with a coloured in image. The Design Papers I used from my stash, the one with Precious on you can get from Willow Designs as well.

I chose to add some of my own embellishments, firstly there is the Ribbon which I thought went really well with this card. I also found within my craft stash the little crown, you can't read it but written on it is Princess.

Finally I added some flowers which I think look great.

Well first of all the image is a lovely Gorjuss Girl, really sweet, she is coloured in using Pro-markers and finished off with glitter. The Design Papers are from my stash, so sorry I can't tell you. I added a ribbon, lace and also a flower. The gems are also from my stash.

Anniversary Card for My Friend

Hi All,

Sorry no card yet!! I just thought I would show you the Anniversary Card that I made for my friend, it is their 2nd Anniversary. My friend has been there for me every step of the way throughout the Stroke. She even took the time to come and see me during the first week, not much sense from me on that part!!


I now no the friends I had before my Stroke, all went running for the hills after.

Julie has been my friend for the whole of my life, 36 years, she is always there for me. I never made it to the Wedding two years ago, through my work. But you know who your friends are.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch 65 - Uma's Sketch

Well it's Sunday today and the weather is so much better, I think its time to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. But first let me tell you about my card, I've decided to enter this into Sunday Sketch and Stamp.

Here is the card.



The Image that I chose to use was a Fizzy Moon Bear, coloured in with Pro-markers (no glitter this time!!). The Design Papers came from a book. And I added Ribbon and also a Sentiment.


I also added some Gems in between the flags which were hanging down.

Sketch Saturday - Sketch 165 - 23 July

Hi All,

It's only me again, with the second of my posts today. Which means I did manage to get two cards done, within me extremly busy day!!! The card this time is for Sketch Saturday.

And so onto my card.


The Image I chose todo this time was a bear which I got off of Beccy's Place she is the finest of artists, whose drawings are lovely. Visit her web page your be amazed what you find. The image was coloured in a few months ago, but it was coloured in using polychromos blended with sansodor, and finished off with you guessed it, glitter. The Design Papers I'm sorry they were bought so long ago. The Sentiment was computer generated. I also added some flowers.



You can see what a fine artist Beccy is.

The Sweet Stop - SSS118 - July 23

Hi All,

Well what has today brought? A bit of rain, a bit of dry weather and now we're coming to the end of the day and the sun is out. I've been really busy and not achieving much again, sitting quietly in my craft room. Seems that everyone has gone on their summer holidays, and my Mum's house is the only one thats got someone in. Oh well, now lets get on with my card for The Sweet Shop. It kind of turned out a bit small, but then I can't blame the Digi-Stamp, can I?

Anyway here we go.




Well the stamp that I chose to use was on that I got free for winning a competition, it came from The Stamping Boutique, you really need to visit the site for such pretty images. The Image is coloured in using Pro-markers, and finished of with, yeah you guessed it glitter. The Design Papers came from I think it was called SWALK, but no promises. I used a MS punch on a bit of white card. The buttons I got were brought from a cheap store yesterday when I went to Oxford,

The Gem was brought from the same cheap store I visited on Friday, the Ribbon was from Glitter Girls.
