Willow Sketchie Challenge - 31st May - 'Make your own Backing Papers'

Hi Everyone,

Wow!!!  Talk about a good thunderstorm yesterday, it went on for ages.  I used to be frightened of thunder and lightning, because my friend got struck by lightning (well the thing she was sitting on was hit, she's fine and survived after a few skin graphs), so after that I was scared.  But it seems now, after the Stroke that I don't mind it, I was standing a the back door just watching it.  The rain was coming down like cats and dogs, it actually caused a neighbour across the road flooding, hail and everything.  It was a good thing, because at least I didn't have to go out and water, well lets see what today brings.  I am at my Stroke Club first this morning and I'm not sure what else I'm doing, Mum hasn't informed me yet!!!

Well, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge.  However, there is a new format that we are now following.  There is a Sketch, however there is also a Theme, now it's your choice as to what one or both you decide to follow.

But firstly, I must congratulate the Winner of last weeks Challenge, we had loads of really good entries and I really like looking at each of them, so thank you. I really enjoyed your card / project.  I hope you enjoy you Voucher to spend at Willow Designs.  Congratulations.

This week our hostess is the most wonderful Shell, it's her last week this week, I shall really miss her.  She has the most fantastic Sketch for you to follow, and here it is:

But, together with the Sketch her Theme is:

'Make your own Backing Papers'

All you have to do the Challenge, is make your own backing papers on your Card or Project.  Wow!!!  This is going to be different.

Now I here you calling 'What will I win???'.  I heard you, the Winner of this weeks Challenge (picked at random) will receive a Voucher to spend at Willow Designs, how cool is that!!!

Well on with my card:

Fab 'n' Funky Challenges - Challenge #123 - 'Celebrations'

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are well, wow, last night was hot it makes you not want to go to bed and sleep.  Well, I did, although it took me ages to get to sleep, well, I'm up now and prepared to take on another day.  I was very shocked yesterday, as there was a gentleman who I worked with as a volunteer, about 3 weeks ago he had a Stroke and was well on the way to recover, he had use of his arms and legs (unlike me, without the use of my right arm) and was waiting to go to Recovery at the local cottage hospital.  But he died on Friday morning, I guess it has hit me hard because we both had Strokes, I mean he had a good life as I believe he was in his 80's, I was only 35 when I had it a year and a half ago.  It's made me appreciate that life is hard sometimes, but it's made me strive on.  RIP John.

Well, the day is Wednesday and you know what that means, yeah!!! It's time for another Fab 'n' Funky Challenge.  What a great effort from everyone for last weeks Challenge, I thought that they were all fantastic.  As with everything we must pick a Winner, so please check out the Fab 'n' Funky Challenge blog to find out if it was you.  But I must thank all of you for you wonderful creations, they were all fantastic.
