Hi Everyone,

I hope your all as well as me!!!  Today's my Birthday, and I thought I'd celebrate it all with you.  I feel very lucky that God has given me another year on this earth, these days (after the Stroke) I take every day as it comes, live life to the full.  Well, I started off the day with a trip down to the Doctor's, it's OK, nothings wrong, just a sample of blood so my medication is kept up to date (I have to do it every 2 weeks).  So after giving want the Vampires wanted, I went to be a volunteer at the Sobell House Charity Shop, and that was such good fun.  I have since come home and opened up my cards and pressies, my Mum got me some Pro-markers, she got me 36 of them, really good colours.  As I had them before but used to worry about not having the right colour, and some perfume, it smells absolutely gorgeous.  Thank you Mum, I love you.   My Mum's friend and mine of course and my friend (her daughter) gave me some perfume as well, and a jewellery box.  And my Uncle and Aunt gave me something towards the car, I didn't want it, but thank u very much.  All in all I think I did very well, thank you.

Willow Sketchie Challenge - 15th March

Hi Everyone,

I can seriously recommend going to have afternoon tea at The Randolph in Oxford.  It was Mum's Birthday yesterday, and so I took her for Afternoon Tea.  Wow!!!  They could of not been more welcoming to us both, they seated us and took our coats, we were then asked what loose leaf tea we wanted, mine I like strong, so I opted for Assam tea, whereas my Mum likes weak tea so she just had some Traditional English Tea.  Now, when they brought this I didn't really want it, due to being fed tea in hospital!!!  That was before I tasted it, delicious.  Then, came the three tiered serving stand with sandwiches (crusts cut off), scones and then all manner of cakes.  I then mentioned it to the Waiter that it was my Mum's birthday, and he went off and got a box of chocolates, how nice was that.   I tell you we came out of there stuffed!!!  I am so glad that my Mum enjoyed it, it was her day, and she deserved it.

Anyway, it's Thursday and that means two things, one is I am at my Stroke Club (so this is a scheduled post) this morning, and the other is it's time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge.  However, there is a new format that we are now following.  There is a Sketch, however there is also a Theme, now it's your choice as to what one or both you decide to follow.

But firstly, I must congratulate the Winner of last weeks Challenge, we had loads of really good entries and I really like looking at each of them, so thank you.  So the Winner of last weeks Challenge was (drum roll) ........... Elaine LP  (no 13).  I really enjoyed your card / project.  I hope you enjoy you Voucher to spend at Willow Designs.  Congratulations.

This week our hostess is the most fantastic Pauline,  she has a Sketch for us to follow, and here it is:

But, together with the Sketch her Theme is:

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Challenge #97 - Marie's Sketch and DT Call

Hi Everyone,

Wow!!!  I say to the weather, it is gorgeous outside it's warm as well.  I might go outside and sort my Mum's planting out.  But first, I must tell you about the Card I am going to post.  First, I found Sunday Sketch and Stamp, then I decided to make a Get Well Card for my Mum's next door neighbour, he has been so kind to my Mum and me.  He has a bad heart and on Tuesday he went in to hospital and he two stents put into his main artery to his heart.  He has since been round to my Mum's and told her that if there is anything that needs doing he will do it. He's so lovely, my Mum told him he is not to do anything, so I thought I would make him a Card.

So here it is:

Card Materials

6 x 6 Card - Craftwork Cards
Card - Stash
Image - Poorly Pup
Sentiment - Computer Generated
Design Papers - 40 Leaf Matting Block
Ribbon - Create and Craft
Pearls - Kanban
